Why muddy duck? Well why not. Our espresso has evolved over the years to become lighter, better balanced and yet offering a sweetness that just has to be tried to be believed. Our slow roasting technique and our careful blending makes this a truly wonderful coffee.
In the UK before a certain American chain arrived, we were unaware of the possibilities that lay in this most continental of drinks. Perhaps, tried on holiday in Florence you, like me made the mistake of trying to order the same sweet nectar here in Blighty. Ten years on, we know much more but judging by the standards out there not much has changed. Fundamentally, its a problem of culture. Since many of the Baristas serving espresso don’t drink the stuff, you can understand their impatience when you point out that the cup is the wrong size and shape, their run time was only 14 seconds and the crema has disappeared like a chav up an alleyway
Most Northern Italian espresso is light and sweet and so is ours. Lovingly prepared,
its a blend of award winning Brazilian coffee with our house Colombian and a wonderful
